Flowers?! People Won’t Drink that Flower S***

This week we talk about one of the hottest liqueurs you can get your hands on, elderflower. It is absolutely taking off among bartenders and enthusiasts alike! Derrick on a previous podcast even called it “the bartender’s ketchup” because a splash is used in a bunch of their drinks.

If you have been listening for a while, you know this is Kristin’s favorite spirit right now, and she created an exquisite cocktail, taking on the challenge of mixing elder flower and bourbon together:
Frisky Whiskey
-1oz bourbon
-1oz elderflower
-.5oz ginger simple syrup
-2 dashes angostura bitters
Shake, strain and Serve up

Alpine Garden
-1.5oz citrus forward gin
-1oz elderflower liquor
-1.5oz grapefruit juice
Serve over ice with a Garnish of a rosemary sprig and grapefruit slice
